Russell Park

Russell Park Time Gardens

Russell Park lies on the Embankment and provides sports pitches, recreation space and herbaceous gardens. It was opened as a recreation ground at the end of the 19th century about 10 years after the widening of the river and opening of the Suspension Bridge. It still provides opportunities for residents to get active with a large play area, rugby, football and putting facilities (see below).

The Putting Green Kiosk

At the eastern end of the park the putting and sports courts there can be booked at the kiosk. They also have some equipment available for hire. Phone bookings can be made on 01234 271877. A selection of light snacks and drinks are also now available in the kiosk. Click here to see the menu. Open every day throughout September the out of season opening hours are currently being revised. Watch this space for future information.
