Council cancellations for weekend games will be posted here by 5pm on Fridays

NO EARLY CANCELLATIONS made for weekend matches

If bad weather on the day creates conditions where play may damage the pitch, the umpire should cancel the game. See below for details of how to claim credits.

How to claim a credit for cancelled games

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must give a minimum of 3 days' notice to qualify for a credit. Return your permit to the athletic stadium within the notice period to cancel your booking and claim your credit.

If your match has been cancelled by us, you will qualify for a credit of your match fee providing you present your permit at the athletic stadium within 2 working days of the date of the match.

If your match is cancelled on the day of play by the umpire (or appointed umpire) before the game has started for reasons of Health & Safety or to avoid damage to the pitch in adverse weather conditions, the referee must complete the credit claim portion of the permit for the team to present at the athletic stadium within 2 working days of the date of the match.

Games abandoned after the start of play will not generally be credited unless it is as a result of the council's negligence.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: claims for credit presented outside of the time limits will not be accepted as delay may result in the council being given inadequate time to verify ground conditions or other reasons given for cancellation of pitches by teams.
