Local dementia support services

Dementia support services for people with dementia and their carers in Bedford Borough are provided by Carers in Bedfordshire and Tibbs Dementia  Foundation.  To find out what services are currently available locally please visit the Carers in Bedfordshire’s website here.

 

Safe, healthy and well

A one-stop information leaflet which brings together existing services offered by Bedford Borough Council, and other organisations to help residents of Bedford Borough keep safe, healthy and well during the winter months.

Adult Multi Activity Club

Weekly activity sessions for adults with learning and physical disabilities, now on a Monday and a Thursday.

Seasonal flu  - protect yourself before flu starts to circulate in the community

The seasonal flu vaccine is offered free to people who are at risk, to protect them from catching flu and developing serious complications.

You should have the vaccination if you are

  • age 65 years or over
  • diagnosed with a chronic illness or long term medical condition such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma, multiple sclerosis, serious kidney and liver disease.
  • pregnant
  • living in a residential or nursing home
  • the main carer of an older or disabled person
