Bedford Borough Training Consortium
The Bedford Borough Training Consortium is responsible for
managing the Skills for Care Training Strategy Implementation (TSI)
and the Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) funding provision
through the establishment of a dedicated Partnership and Brokerage
function to support Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) sector
providers in Bedford.
The Consortium is able to direct funding, manage resources and
provide support for development of the whole social care
workforce.
A range of milestones
need to be achieved to maintain Skills for Care funding are in
place to direct and support us in the challenges ahead as we
develop and grow the consortium. The opportunity to join the
Consortium is open to all social care providers in the Borough and
membership is free.
Advantages of membership include:
- free training on subjects including Safeguarding (SOVA), Mental
Capacity Deprivation of Liberty, Community Care legislation
- funding to support training such as NVQ qualifications relating
to social care
- opportunities to share information, create innovative training
solutions and work in partnership with other organisations in the
Social Care sector to develop the skills of your workforce.
