Disabilities
People with a physical disability, are deaf or have a
hearing or visual
impairment sometimes need care and support to get the
most out of life.
Adult Services in Bedford arranges services so that
people in most need can lead a life which is as full and
independent as possible. We also help those who care for people
with disabilities. We always work closely with other professionals
such as health services, housing agencies and independent care home
providers.
What's new?
Bedford Borough Council in partnership with Bedford Mencap has
installed a ‘Changing Place’ toilet facility, to make Bedford
town centre more accessible for people with a disability and their
carers. This new facility is available at River
Street multi-storey car park.
