RHI - Businesses
What is the Renewable Heat Incentive
(RHI)?
The Non-Domestic RHI Scheme supports renewable heat
installations in business, industry and the public sector as well
as district heating schemes. It has been open for applications
since November 2011.
What technologies are included in the scheme?
The Non-Domestic RHI Scheme currently supports the following
technologies:
- biomass
- heat pumps - ground source, water source and deep
geothermal
- all solar thermal collectors
- bio-methane and biogas
How are the payments calculated?
RHI payments are made every 3 months to the owner of the
heat installation over a 20 year period. Tariff levels have
been calculated to bridge the financial gap between the cost of
conventional and renewable heat systems.
Where can I find more information?
The RHI scheme is administered by Ofgem E-Serve and information
on the scheme, including how to apply and eligibility can be found
on the Ofgem
