Local Recycling Sites

Hillgrounds Road Underground Recycling Site

Bedford Borough Council currently operates a network of 68 sites where residents can recycle glass, clothes, shoes and paper. These sites are located across the district in a variety of easily accessible areas.

For a list of local sites please click here.

These sites are provided by the Council for household waste only; waste produced as a result of business activity (trade waste) should not be recycled in these banks.

Please do not leave excess waste on the floor at these sites; any excess waste could pose a safety risk to children and animals, and could be classed as fly tipping.

12/04/2013- Glass Recycling banks at St John's Street Car Park in Kempston have been replaced with a larger ‘skip’ bank. This container holds more glass, and is much less susceptible to damage.
