Investigating Flooding
On becoming aware of a flood of significant scale or frequency
in its area, Bedford Borough Council must, where necessary or
appropriate, investigate the role and response of relevant
organisations and authorities to the flood.
The need to investigate a particular flood is determined on a
case-by-case basis considering factors such as uncertainty in the
cause of flooding and the number of properties affected.
When Bedford Borough Council carries out a formal flood
investigation it must publish the results of its investigation and
notify any relevant organisations and authorities.
