Local Development Framework
The Local Development Framework will comprise the following
parts (click on the links for further information and to view the
documents):
Local Development Documents
(LDDs) are the portfolio of documents that make up the LDF
and together with the Regional Spatial Strategy, will comprise the
Development Plan. Most (but not all) LDDs will be either
Development Plan Documents (DPDs) or Supplementary Planning
Documents (SPDs).
The Local Development Framework will
include the following DPDs:
Core
Strategy and Rural Issues Plan
Town Centre Area Action Plan
Allocations and Designations DPD
Development Control Policies DPD
In addition consideration is being given to the scope of DPDs to
be prepared on minerals and waste issues.
And the following SPDs:
Climate
Change and Pollution SPD
Shopfronts and Advertisements in Conservation
Areas SPD
West of Kempston Design Guide
Biddenham Loop Design Guide
Bedfordshire Community Safety Design Guide
Land North of Bromham Road Design Guide
All DPDs are subject to Sustainability
Appraisals (see Local Development Document page for more
details)
The
Local Development Scheme (LDS) sets out the overall timetable
for the production of the LDF.
The Minerals and Waste Scheme (under revision) sets out the
overal timetable for the LDF in relation to the minerals and waste
issues.
The
Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out how the
Council will involve the community during the production of the
LDF.
Annual Monitoring Reports (AMR) assess the
performance of the Local Development Scheme and the Local
Development Documents.
