Planning Complaints

If you have a complaint about the Planning Services Department then please go through the Council's Complaints Procedure. If you are still not happy then you can go to the Local Government Ombudsman, who is an independent person that investigates allegations of maladministration causing injustice to the person who has complained.

If your application is refused or if the Council does not make a decision on it within the given period, you have the right of appeal to the Planning Inspectorate who will determine the appeal. You must appeal within 6 months from the date of the decision notice or if no decision notice has been issued then 6 months from the date that the decision was due to be made.
