Support Packages

Bedford Borough Council offers ICT support packages and ICT services for your school for the 2012-2013 year as shown in this brochure.

We are flexible on all of our support products. You can change your contract needs throughout the contract and as your site develops and grows, your contract can grow with it.

We have a tailored approach, so that you will be able to achieve and guarantee value for money. We will make sure you are only paying for what you need, and will review your contract at regular intervals so that it suits the changes within your site.

Should you choose a support package that includes an assigned account manager, we can also offer a level of free consultancy and guidance about your site, and make sure you are in a position for your ICT to grow.

To create the correct support package for you, we will survey your site and provide you with a quotation. The survey is free and we may be cheaper than your current support. However, if we are not we should be able to ‘price match’ it for you.

We offer a huge range of individual services and can assist you with anything ICT related. You can also use our services to assist your in house ICT staff.

Support Package 1 (SP1) - Telephone and Remote Support – This is basic support, you can call us; we will assist you over the phone, and make a remote connection to your hardware to assist with any configuration issues. This can also be used to assist your own in house staff by providing support and assistance with any issues they are having.

Support Package 2 (SP2) - Technical Support – Includes telephone and remote support, scheduled site visits, health checks and updates, hardware support (warranty and ex warranty based, parts included), server administration, backups, AV equipment.

This includes a tailored service level agreement, and an assigned account manager.

Support Package 3 (SP3) - Full Support – Includes telephone and remote support, site health checks, network administration, AV equipment, regular site visits, hardware support (warranty and ex warranty based, parts included.) Server administration, backups, consultancy, design, network development. This is for the full site to be covered from every angle. We will assist and advise you on all aspects of your ICT and help you develop it in the correct way using best practice in the most cost effective way.

This includes a tailored service level agreement, and an assigned account manager.

Pay as you go service (PAYG) – If you feel you don’t need cover, but want to know you can get it when you need it, then you are still free to use us as and when you require. We can assist in support, repairs, design, consultancy or anything else ICT related.

Day Technician Service (TS) – A dedicated technician assigned to your site for a full day or half a day to deal with issues, perform site checks, or maintenance required. This can be purchased as individual days or as a bundled service (discounts available).

Science Equipment

We offer coverage for your science labs, this works on a pay as you go basis. You can report faults, and we will arrange and send an engineer to you to resolve the issue.

Design and Reprographics

The unit offers a complete Design and Print Production solution to all its customers to assist the process of meeting marketing, design and print production needs.

The Design & Reprographics Teams are currently located centrally in Borough Hall, Bedford. They utilise state of the art equipment and modern software and together with experienced and innovative Graphic Designers and Print Production staff, can offer an end to end service from conception, through design, to print finishing. Delivery to site is assured through our small but reliable fleet vehicles.

The role of the Design Team includes:
