The Future of Woodside Middle School
Bedford Borough Council has consulted on the future of Woodside
Middle School. The consultation includes:
- proposals for Woodside Middle
School
- associated proposals for Putnoe Lower
School and Mark Rutherford Upper School
- proposed changes to the catchment areas
for Goldington Middle School and Newnham Middle School.
The consultation
document (opens new window) was circulated to key
stakeholders including the parents of pupils at Woodside Middle,
Mark Rutherford Upper and Putnoe Lower schools and to the governors
and staff of these schools. The preliminary consultation
period ended on 15 October 2010 and statutory proposals were
published on 14 November 2010.
The Notices were published in the Bedfordshire on Sunday and
posted in and around the school sites and around the local
area. The statutory notice period is six weeks, during which
time comments and objections are invited.
