Online Admissions
Please read the following information before making an online
application (the "Apply Online Here" link is at the bottom of this
page)

form and apply online facility) will be available from Monday 15th
October 2012. Please visit our website after this date to
apply.

school/academy in September 2013 who live within the Bedford

The Transfer to Middle 2013 round (information,
application form and apply online facility) will be available from

- due to transfer to upper
school/academy in September 2013 who live within the Bedford

The Transfer to Upper 2013 round (information,

from Wednesday 12th September 2012. Please visit our website
after this date to apply.
If you are applying for a secondary school
place (Year 7) at the Bedford Free School, Mark Rutherford School
or in another Local Authority you must not
use the online system as the system is set up specifically
for starting school admissions and middle and upper school
transfers. You will therefore need to complete a transfer to
Secondary
School application form (PDF document opens in new
window).
You must only use one method to apply for a school place. If you
have already submitted your paper application form you must not
apply online, similarly if you apply online you must not make a
paper application.
Please read the information booklets Starting
School (PDF document opens in new
window) and School
Transfer booklet (PDF document opens in new
window)before you make your online application. The booklets
contains important information about the admissions process and
details of the admissions criteria for individual schools.
Catchment areas
You may find it useful to know the catchment
school which serves you local area, before you make an
online application. You can access catchment area
information here.
You may wish to list your catchment area school as
one of your preferences. This will usually mean that you still have
priority for a place at the catchment area school if a place is not
available for your child at your preferred school.
