Central Bedfordshire Council Admission Arrangements

The Central Bedfordshire Admissions Forum, at its meeting on 24 March 2009, considered the responses to the consultation on admission arrangements for September 2010 and determined their admission arrangements as follows:

1.         The relevant area for admissions will cover the administrative area of Central Bedfordshire Council (previously the area covered by Mid and South Bedfordshire District Councils).

2.         The catchment areas for schools in the local area. Please follow the link for the catchment area information.

3.         The co-ordinated admission arrangements for upper, middle and lower schools. Please follow the links to the Co-ordinated Scheme for Upper Schools and the Academy and the Co-ordinated Scheme for Primary Schools (middle and lower). The schemes set out the procedures for applying for a school place and the timescales for the application process.

4.         The proposed admission policies and admission numbers for community and voluntary controlled schools. Please follow the link to the list of schools.

5.         The exceptions which may result in the admission number for a school being exceeded. Please follow the link to the exceptions.

Please note:

The governing bodies of voluntary aided, foundation, trust schools and the academy are their own admission authorities. Each governing body is required to determine its admission arrangements. Please follow the link to the list of those schools.
