Early Risers Choir

The Early Risers choir began in 2006 as a community initiative, promoted and supported by the Government at the time, to build stronger links between schools and their local communities through singing.

Riseley Lower School "signed up" to host a choir that started with 8 members. The group, now under the Bedford Borough Music Service, continues to develop and recently gained some "fabulous fellas" who have added texture to our repertoire. We perform regularly for school and village events, and are beginning to participate in a wider range of activities within Bedfordshire, under the directorship of Mr. Chris Topley.

The name "Early Risers" came about through our strong connection with the school and the 8.45am start to the Tuesday choir sessions, designed to enable mums/dads to come after dropping off their children at school.

Ladies & gentlemen if you enjoy singing....... the Early Risers Choir meets on a Tuesday morning from 8.45am-10.00am and we would love some new members!  No previous singing experience or auditions required, just come along and join us.   For further details, please contact Chris Topley at Music for Bedford Borough on music@bedford.gov.uk  01234 718088 or Jenny Lorton  on 07512184795.
