Outreach Service
The Family Information Service is not just
office based. We also provide an outreach service and can
often be found visiting groups and events across Bedford
Borough. Our outreach sessions include regular visits to
children's centres, post and ante natal groups, libraries, Home -
Start and young parents groups.
We try to make sure that a good spread of
outreach is offered across the borough, ensuring that we reach
as many families as possible, particularly those who
might not otherwise access the service.
Our outreach sessions vary from giving formal
/ informal talks to groups of parents and professionals, running
one to one surgeries to distributing leaflets.
Booking an Outreach Session
Would you like us to come and visit a group that
you run or attend? Our sessions often involve us taking a few
minutes to introduce ourselves to the group followed by individual
conversations and distribution of literature, but can adapt this to
meet your needs. For larger events, we are happy to man a
stand as appropriate.
