'Wanted Fun' is a group for young people aged 10 - 17 with Asperger's Syndrome or high functioning autism.  The groups run fortnightly during termtime on weekday evenings at four venues around the county.  Each group has a different activity focus depending on the interests of the young people and what they want to do. 

Applicants should have relevant experience of leading youth groups, or supporting groups affected by autism. 

Key aspects of the role involve planning sessions, managing a staff team and ensuring all policies and procedures are complied with.  Working closely with the Children’s Services Manager you will ensure excellent service delivery for our existing and future families.

The criteria for being a FACES volunteer is to be able to attend an 8 session training course, be able to offer a commitment of at least 3 hours visiting a week, attendance at regular 6 weekly one to on supervision and the ability to complete and submit diary sheets. . In return you will receive out of pocket expenses, on-going support and supervision and a choice of development. We are particularly looking to increase the diversity of our team and welcome volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.

Qualifications:  Governing Body Qualifications or equivalent, Enhanced DBS, Full Driving License & First Aid training essential   

Details:  We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic member of staff to become actively involved in all elements of our camps.  The ideal candidate will be required to offer pastoral and activity support to a specific group of participants, and assist with all aspects of the camp from set up of equipment to serving of meals.  Experience of working with children and a passion for working in the outdoors essential. Specific activity training provided.
