GfC operate one of four of the Borough’s Network of Children’s Centres and we have a reach area of approximately 3300. We were graded “Good” by OFSTED in October 2014 and our most recent annual conversation demonstrates our commitment to becoming an outstanding centre.

This is a new role for the Network and you will join the Network Manager and another Deputy Manager in the strategic leadership of the centre as well as having overall responsibility for the daily running of several core services. We are looking for a strong leader to join the team who will support us in our journey to outstanding. You may already be from an outstanding or good centre and you will have experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team of staff with a background in health, social care or early years. Job Title: Supply Art Assistant : voluntary and paid opportunities

Organisation: Art Adventurers

Qualification: Relevant level 2 or 3 qualification or willingness to work towards this. Appropriate child protection training and current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Details: Applicants should have:

·         experience of working with 4 to 9 year olds.

·         understanding of the varied needs of children and their families

·         understanding of the issues involved in the delivery of quality care

·         understanding of the issues of equal opportunities

·         ability to provide and facilitate safe and creative activities.

·         a strong interest in art and crafts

·         good communication skills

·         ability to work as part of a team

·         sound judgement and common sense

·         some experience of working within a play-based setting or school is desirable.

·         the ability to work on own initiative

·         appropriate art skills

The hours of this position are after 3.30 pm for 2 hours  during term time, and 9:30am and Midday during holidays. Days of work will be confirmed with the successful applicant, but are likely to be no more than 2 days per week, plus any supply cover as required. The main locations of work are Bedford and Flitwick, though you may be required to travel to surrounding areas as required. Job Title:  P/T Term Time and School Holidays Day & Residential Camp Leaders

Organisation:  SSG Services

Qualifications:  Governing Body Qualifications or equivalent, Enhanced DBS, Full Driving License & First Aid training essential   

Details:  We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic member of staff to become actively involved in all elements of our camps.  The ideal candidate will be required to offer pastoral and activity support to a specific group of participants, and assist with all aspects of the camp from set up of equipment to serving of meals.  Experience of working with children and a passion for working in the outdoors essential. Specific activity training provided.           

Salary:  Hourly Rate £8-10ph
