Mayor's Charity Golf
It’s not too late to sign up for the Mayor’s Charity
Golf Day event which takes place on
Sunday 27th May at the
Mowsbury Golf Complex in Bedford. The event will
raise funds for the local charities which are being supported
through the Mayor’s Charity in 2012.
Mowsbury Golf Complex is situated on the
outskirts of Bedford, bounded by Mowsbury Park and open
countryside. The 18-hole course offers a fair challenge to both
beginners and handicap players with strategically placed ponds,
ditches and bunkers waiting to claim the wayward shots.
The charities benefitting from funds raised
through the Mayor’s Charity are Bedford & District Cerebral
Palsy Society, Kings Arms Project, and the Bedford Day Care
Hospice.
Mayor Dave Hodgson said: “Not all fundraising
has to be hard work. Hopefully, participants in this event will get
a lot of enjoyment out of the day, while the funds generated will
go towards important causes that will help make a real difference
to peoples’ lives.”
There will be a gents competition in the
morning, followed by the ladies competition in the afternoon. All
adult players are welcome with an Official Club Handicap.
Cost per pair: £50.00, with light refreshments
included.
