Cantamus - Moot Hall

As part of the Elstow May Festival, on Saturday 12th May, Bedford Borough Council’s Moot Hall will be hosting its first ever music event, Cantamus, at 7.15pm.

Cantamus is a choir of talented singers. The concert will host royal Tudor music in a Tudor setting as musicians perform madrigals written for Queen Elizabeth I.

Cllr Doug McMurdo, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture at Bedford Borough Council, said: “This event is guaranteed to be atmospheric, as people will feel they have been transported back in time.”

Entry - £5 on the door. To guarantee a seat, advance tickets may be purchased from Elstow Post Office or contact Moot Hall on 01234 266889.

Moot Hall is open to the public from 1-4pm on Saturdays, to the end of September. It is also open on Elstow Mayday and all Bank Holiday Mondays.
