SO FAR, SO
BRILLIANT
To celebrate its ‘six month birthday’, Clapham
Children's Centre is holding an open day from 1 – 3.30pm, on
Saturday 29th of May. Since its opening, the number of
families’ attending the centre has trebled.
The event will host a range of craft, physical
and sports activities. For those individuals looking for
professional advice on the day, there will be a range of stalls
available, provided by agencies such as, the National Child Minding
Association, bpha and the Family Information Service.
Cllr David Sawyer, Portfolio Holder for
Children’s Services at Bedford Borough Council said: “The centre
has welcomed many through its doors in recent months, acting as a
hub where children and their families can receive seamless and
integrated services and information. To have so much on offer, and
all under one roof, is invaluable. Whether it’s professional advice
sought, or simply just to socialise with other people, the centre
will accommodate.”
The open day also coincides with the launch of
‘National Families Week’ which is jam-packed with family fun, as
thousands of activities and events take place across the country,
this summer half-term.
