GOLDINGTON GREEN LOWER
SCHOOL- SHOW THEY LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE
THIS SUMMER
Goldington Green Lower School
is showing the local community that they Love Where They Live this
summer, by taking part in a litter pick event along with Flynn the
Bin Elf, on the morning of Friday 6th
July.
The litter pick has been spurred on by the new
Keep Britain Tidy initiative called the Love Where You
Live campaign – which encourages the great British public to
take pride in their community and do a tidy up before the Olympic
torch passes through their local area. Goldington Green Lower
School’s pupils are all set to show their local community how much
they care about the area they live in.
The Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson,
said: “The torch will make its way to Bedford on Sunday
8th July and we want to ensure the town is at its
cleanest and tidiest. Goldington Green Lower School pupils,
and other volunteers, are leading the way, and we encourage
everyone to back this campaign and help keep our communities tidy
before, and after, the torch comes to town.”
