Green Flag Success for our Local Parks

Four of the Borough’s superb parks have been awarded Green Flags during this year’s Love Parks Week, which has seen so many local people get in touch with the Council and tell us all the things they love about our parks.

The Green Flag Award recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces and is recognised in the UK and around the world as the mark of a quality park or green space.

The parks awarded Green Flags this year are Addison Howard Park, Bedford Park, Harrold-Odell Country Park for the 10th year running, and Priory Country Park for the 16th year running!

Mayor Dave Hodgson said: “I know people across Bedford Borough are rightly proud of our fantastic parks, and I am delighted that they have once again been recognised as among the best in the country. Winning these awards is a real mark of quality for our parks, and I would like to say thank you to our parks team and volunteers for all their hard work.”
