The Bedford International Athletics Stadium
will be hosting the 16th Bedford International Games
(BIG) on Sunday 15th August. BIG is privileged to host
the first BIG Discus Record Challenge with 2008 Olympic Champion
Gert Kanter attempting to break the world record. He will be joined

to break their own individual records.

just returned from the European Championships in Barcelona, where
she won two bronze medals in the 400m race and 4 x 400m relay!
Perry will not be running on the day but will be a guest of the
Bedford International Games.
The Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson
said: “The Bedford International Games has a growing reputation and
attracts high quality international athletes. Hopefully the
enthusiasm generated by the performances at the recent European
Championships in Barcelona, especially by British athletes, will
help ensure that some outstanding contests take place on Sunday
