Community Clean Ups
The Pride in Bedford team help residents and
community groups across the Borough organise clean ups which
improve the look of local areas and increases the community spirit
within an area. Pride in Bedford provide all the equipment needed
for a clean up and will remove all the litter once collected.
There are already many litter pick events
booked and spaces before July are limited. Bookings for the later
half of the year (September onwards) are now welcomed.
Pride in Bedford has also been chosen as one
of the Big Tidy Up Local Authority Champions and the campaign
will continue until September 2010. Please click on the

Make a Difference Day- October 2009
Pride in Bedford worked with The Ranger Service, University
of Bedfordshire, vinvolved and the Volunteer Bureau Bedford to run
this years Make a Difference Day event in Bedford.
The event took place on Wednesday 28th October at Scott Hall,
Barford Avenue between 11am-3pm. Volunteer roles included litter
picking and bulb planting.
Attending litter picks
If you wish to attend an event please turn up at 10am at the
specified meet up point to sign in and collect your equipment.
Along with litter picks you can earn Big Pride
Points by attending Pride in Bedford events. Pride
Points is a way of rewarding you, the volunteer, for participating
and making a difference. You earn one point for each event and
prizes are awarded to those who earn 4, 8 and 12 points. Pride in
Bedford will be relaunching Pride Points as part of the Big Tidy Up
campaign as Big Pride Points. Please refer to our brand new
