Community Volunteering

Our role is to develop, sustain and enhance the Borough of Bedford.  It is our responsibility to act as a catalyst for the various initiatives, schemes and organisations with regard to the environment and community partnerships in order to promote local citizenship.

It is our aim to:

  • Improve communications
  • Promote community involvement
  • Create links with the community, business and local self-help groups
  • Advise on improving the environment
  • Raise standards and promote best practice
  • Provide a quality service
  • Continually monitor and evaluate the service to improve efficiency

Some of the many projects and initiatives we are directly involved in are listed in the blue menu to the left.
