BedfordBID

Bedford has its own Business Improvement District.

Bedford BID is an arrangement under which local businesses plan how to improve their own trading environment. Businesses identify projects or services that will add value and agree on the level of funds which they pay to make it happen.

BedfordBID's projects and services range from creating a cleaner and safer environment to marketing and promotion to attract new visitors to the town. The BedfordBID Bluecaps help make the Town Centre a safer and friendlier place to be for shoppers and workers alike, whilst BedfordBID's promotional campaigns, Town Centre events and entertainment combine with special rates for parking and travel to make it easier for everyone to experience Bedford. BedfordBID also manages and co-ordinates the Town Centre's retail radio-link scheme and helps businesses train their staff in radio operation and crime prevention.
