LA2003 Applications
Under the Licensing Act 2003, Responsible Authorities and
others have 28 days from the application date for a Premises
Licence/Club Premises Certificate (and variation) to make
representation to the Licensing Authority. Representations
must be made in writing and it is an offence knowingly or
recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an
application. A person is liable on conviction for such an
offence to a fine up to level 5 on the standard scale, currently
£5,000.
