Licensing Act 2003
Welcome to the Licensing Service's area of the website concerned
with the Licensing Act 2003. Here you can download application
forms, find out about the latest licensing news and also find out
general information about what we do. The Licensing Act 2003
introduced significant changes to licensing laws. Following
the adoption of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act
2011, the Council has produced an Advice Note to accompany the
Licensing Policy 2011-14. This document is available
below.
The Licensing Act 2003 amalgamated six existing licensing regimes:
alcohol, public entertainment, cinemas, theatres, late night
refreshment houses and night cafes.
