The Bedford River Festival returns on 18-19 July 2026.
Music in the Meadows concerts
Bedford’s much-loved Music in the Meadows bandstand concerts take place in the summer.
Sundays from 3pm-5pm at the Mill Meadows Bandstand on the Embankment, Bedford.
Come along, bring the family and a picnic and enjoy two hours of traditional bandstand music.

The Bedford Kite and Motoring Festival
After the huge success for the 2023 festival, the Bedford Kite and Motoring Festival is coming back on 21-22 June 2025.
The event will include:
- Dazzling kite displays: Watch skilled flyers from across the world soar through the sky with incredible creations.
- A motor vehicle extravaganza: Explore a fascinating array of classic cars, motorcycles, and more from across the ages, right up to today.
- Mouth-watering food and drink: Indulge in delicious vegan options alongside a variety of other tasty treats.
- Green Earth Lounge: Discover all sorts of fascinating vegan products
- Exciting river activities: Try your hand at water sports or simply enjoy the riverfront entertainment.
- Engaging children's activities: Keep the little ones entertained with a range of fun-filled activities.
