Waste Collection
Bedford Borough Council collects general household waste in either black wheeled bins or black bags weekly. If you are unsure whether your waste is collected in a bin or a bag please contact us on 0800 121 8888.
The council also provides a number of special domestic waste collection services. These include:
- Assisted Collections (for the elderly and infirm)
- Bulky Waste Collections (including fridge/freezer collections)
- Rural Bulky Waste Collections
- Clinical Waste Collections

IMPORTANT NOTE:
These services are provided for domestic waste only. Any waste created by business activity is classed as 'Controlled Waste' and by law has to be disposed of via a seperate waste collection service. For further information on waste services for businesses please click here.
