3rd World Heritage Run Bamberg hosted the bi-annual Heritage Run this year, which Bedford athletes took by storm, claiming 1st place in the half marathon and the 10.9 km. For more details and report, please go to the 30 Years of Twinning page.

County Camp - Scouts from Bamberg take part with Bedford (Kempston) 101st Scout Group Over the weekend a group of Scouts from Bamberg came over to take part in the County Camp at Phasel Wood Campsite. The visit was a huge success. For a report please visit the 30 Years of Twinning Page.

Work experience exchanges between twin towns
August saw Paul Coles and Patrick Goldsworthy travel to Bamberg for work placements. Below are the reports each wrote on their experiences during their placements.

Over the weekend of 13th October 2007, Bamberg will  host the celebrations to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of twinning between Bedford and Bamberg.
A programme of events over this weekend will include Biddenham School Steel Band performing and Michael Faherty, lecturer in English at the University of Bedfordshire giving a talk on John Bunyan. A number of people will be visiting Bamberg at this time to join in the celebrations. More pictures can be found below
