Town Centre Area Action Plan Inspectors Report
The report of the Inspector, Mr. Roland Punshon BSc MRTPI, appointed to carry out a public examination of the soundness of the plan has now been received. The overall conclusion is that the plan is sound. In reaching that conclusion, the Inspector proposes a number of minor changes to the plan - some of which had been proposed by the Council and some which arose from discussions at the hearing sessions.In his covering letter, Mr. Punshon states that he is satisfied that his recommended changes are relatively minor, bring the plan's provisions up to date (to reflect changes since its submission), and provide greater clarity as to how the plan will be operated as well as greater clarity as to the way in which the planning process for the town centre will move forward.Please click on the links below to view the Inspector's report and his covering letter.
