The historic county town of Bedford with its attractive riverside frontage, is centrally located to London, Oxford & Cambridge. North Bedfordshire has many places of interest and is ideally located for history, leisure, the arts, culture and quiet unspoilt countryside.

CottagesOver the years Bedford has become associated with many famous people. John Bunyan, Archbishop Trevor Huddleston and comedian the late Ronnie Barker were all born here, whilst residents have included Glenn Miller and his band during World War II and John Howard.

Today Bedford is a lively market town with plenty of opportunities and a cultural diversity suiting many tastes. The villages of north Bedfordshire are without doubt amongst the most picturesque in this part of the country and well worth a visit.

There’s a warm welcome waiting for you when you visit Bedford, your first port of call should be the Tourist Information Centre where the staff look forward to helping you.
