Summer Play and Games Schemes 2008
The playscheme programme caters for approximately 8,000 visits during the summer holidays. The playschemes shows to be a major help in terms of entertainment, childcare, and crime reduction, during the summer holidays.
The schemes run at parks and villages across the borough of Bedford, and create a high profile 'shop window' for the community work of the section. Activities include football, athletics, rounders, day trips, bouncy castle and various sports and arts/craft activities.
The section ran an extensive programme of play/games schemes during the School Summer holiday period. The schemes offer exciting play opportunities for 5 - 8 year olds (playschemes) and 9 - 13 year olds (games schemes). Each session is a "pay and play" scheme and costs only £1 per session (am or pm).

Very enjoyable course. Good to be able to try Ju-jitsu and Tai Chi. Instructors very encouraging and enthusiastic. Participant on Martial Arts
Just a note to say thank you very much. The scheme is inspired - just what I needed to make me do something that Ihave been talking about for years. The tutors are excellent and I appreciate being a cohort of my own age group - much less intimidating. Participant of Water Sports
We have running a new course which starts mid September - please download the flier and booking form, we would advise phoning before booking just to make sure that there are places left. 01234 221700
