Speak Now or Lose it Forever Meeting over Post Office Closures
19 July 2008Public Relations
Following on from the recent revelations regarding the proposed Post Office closures in Bedford, the local community now has its chance to object and make a difference. A meeting has been called for residents of Bedford Borough and Post Office managers to discuss plans to close branches.
On Wed 23rd July 6.30pm, Post Office Limited and Postwatch will be present at the Bedford Swan Hotel for a public meeting to discuss the future of the Post Office network in Bedford. The local MPs have also been invited.
Bedford Borough Council is strongly urging residents and community and voluntary sector organisations to provide views about these closures. Anyone with concerns about their local Post Office is encouraged to attend and all are welcome. Refreshments will be available from 6.15pm, and River Street Multi Storey car park will open late and free for anyone attending the meeting.
