Leading the way in joined-up rural transport in Bedfordshire
A lack of affordable, accessible transport can cause many difficulties for people living in rural areas. It may restrict access to employment or training. It may also severely limit choice of shopping or social facilities.
The Bedfordshire Rural Transport Partnership makes a difference by:
- bringing together all organisations involved in transport - county, district and parish councils, transport providers, user groups and interested community groups and organisations
- working directly with rural communities to take action
- funding a range of projects
The Partnership Officers work very closely with Parish Councils and community groups to develop further initiatives in response to identified needs.
