Planning Public Access Portal

Introduction

The PublicAccess website enables you to monitor the progress of applications through Property Search or Application Search. There is the facility for online comments on the applications. It is possible to view Decision Notices and the conditions/reasons for refusal on applications with decisions made since 1st December 2005.

The PublicAccess website is linked directly to the Planning administration database and information is updated during office hours.

PublicAccess enables you to view National and/or Authority Datasets (including property addresses) and Ordnance Survey® (OS) background maps including:-

1:50K Scale Raster Map (Updated 05/08/2008)
1:250K Scale Raster Map (Updated 21/04/2008)
OS MasterMap® Topography (Areas and Lines of local geographical features) and Annotation (descriptive text) (Updated 22/09/2008)
Boundary-Line™ Ward Boundaries (Updated 20/11/2007)

English Heritage Datasets include:-

Listed Building Polygons and Points (Updated 15/06/2006)

Bedford Borough Council datasets include:-

Local Authority Land and Property Gazetteer (LPG) Authority Datasets (including property addresses)

English Heritage Spatial Datasets - Listed Buildings

The English Heritage Datasets used in the PublicAccess website are provided by Bedford Borough Council under licence from English Heritage. It is important to note that English Heritage spatial data is provided for indication purposes only. The data was captured against Ordnance Survey® digital mapping products under licence. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the depiction, the data may have originally been captured against a different edition of the Ordnance Survey® map to that currently available. Please bear this in mind when interpreting the location of the designated feature and any constraint boundary. The spatial data should never be viewed or printed at any scale larger than the scale of capture indicated in the attributes for each feature. If you have a query as to the location of a designated monument, site or building or the extent of a specific constraint area, please contact the appropriate English Heritage Regional Office – a list is available on the website:

English Heritage cannot accept responsibility for the accuracy of any maps or other products made by you based on this data.For general information about designations, please visit the English Heritage website www.english-heritage.org.uk. If you are undertaking a desk-based assessment, it is strongly recommend that prior to commencement of work on any site more detailed research is undertaken to include a search for records of other archaeological features potentially affected by the development. The National Monuments Record holds data on around 400,000 archaeological/historical sites recorded from fieldwork or documentary sources. NMR also hold an equivalent number of entries for listed buildings in a separate database. Local Historic Environment Records (HERs/Sites and Monuments Records) are also a key source of information. Information displayed throughout the PublicAccess website is extracted from a copyright work owned by the Local Government Information House Limited and Bedford Borough Council.
A single screen print of the results of a search of the National and/or Authority datasets is permitted for your own use.
You may not extract or re-utilise information derived from the National and/or Authority Datasets and/or any copies of such information (whether electronic or in hard copy format) for any commercial or business purpose including but not limited to, trading, building commercial databases, reselling or redistribution of such information.
You are not permitted to modify, adapt, arrange, alter, adjust or make any additions to any information derived from the National and/or Authority Datasets, nor are you permitted to combine such information with other mapping, data or other information, including for the avoidance of doubt, other such information derived from this Website.
