Mayor
Frank Branston was elected Mayor of Bedford on 17 October 2002 and is Bedford’s first directly-elected Mayor.
The Mayor, will serve until May 2011. He heads the Council, has considerable decision-making power and is the main face of Bedford at local, national and international level.
