Licensing Act 2003 Licensing Committee

(Licensing Act 2003) Licensing Committee This Committee, which has the same membership as the General Licensing Committee, has responsibility for all of the Council’s functions under the Licensing Act 2003 as they relate to:

• The sale and supply of alcohol
• The provision of entertainment
• The provision of late night refreshment

It will also have responsibility for the Council’s functions under the Gambling Act 2005.

Any applications for Licences under the Licensing Act 2003, are considered and determined by one of the Committee’s Sub Committees.

Members wishing to serve on the Committee are required to complete the Council’s approved training on Licensing before they can determine any Licensing applications and must also follow the approved guidance for Councillors dealing with Licensing matters
