Land Ownership Enquiries

The Council owns a piece or land or a building they can tell you who owns it. However, if the Council does not own it, they will be unable to inform you who does.

To enquire of the Council who owns a piece of land or property write to the Land & Property Unit at the Town Hall. You must include a plan of the area you are asking about. Include street names, landmarks, and measurements.

The Council aim to respond to all enquiries within ten working days or receiving your enquiry.

The Land Registry Online gives instant access to land ownership information.
