How to Submit an Enquiry

Check to see if the information you are seeking is included in the Council's Publication Scheme.

If the information is not included on the Publication Scheme it may be that it is exempt.  

If the information is not on the Council's Publication Scheme and is not exempt you may request the information in one of four ways:          

By letter to the following address:

Or by completing the following form.

When contacting the Council, by whichever method chosen, please describe the specific information being sought, ensuring that sufficient details are provided so that we can respond.

Dependent upon the amount of information being sought, you may be asked to pay a fee.  Should this be the case, you will be contacted before any work commences.

When you receive an answer to your request, should you believe that you have been denied any of your rights under the Act you have the right to lodge your complaint with Bedford Borough Council in line with our Internal Review Procedure.

Should you still be dissatisfied with the outcome, you may take your complaint to the Information Commissioner.
