County Council Elections
To elect Councillors for the County Council. The County Council is responsible for services across Bedfordshire, including education, highways, libraries, social services, and public transport.
There will be 52 Councillors – normally one for each division (but can be two in larger divisions) in Bedfordshire. A division covers a small area – usually one or two wards. You vote for one candidate in the division you are registered under. County Councillors are elected every four years. The next election will be in May 2005.
