Change of Circumstances
Change in your circumstance
We must be notified as soon as any change in your circumstance occurs. Below are examples of some of the most common changes that we need to be notified of.
- Change of benefits
- Hours or wages increase/decrease
- Rent increase
- Change in employment
- Change of address
- Change in your composition of your household
- New tax credit award letters
- An increase/decrease in your savings
If you delay in telling us of your change in circumstance this could cause you to either lose out on benefit you should be getting or result in us paying you too much benefit which you will be liable to pay back.
Please be aware that all changes must be declared in writing and will require the claimant’s signature.
