The Bedford River Festival in July 2008 will be our biggest and yet and there are many ways for your business to be involved, from sponsorship and partnership working to promote your business and products to activities and actual onsite involvement during the weekend.
Enter a Dragonboat team-up to 20 people paddle each boat with a drummer at the front beating time and a helmsman at the tail steering a straight course. No previous experience is required, just loads of team spirit. Dragonboats, Helmsman and all equipment is provided by the organisers.
The carnival Parade leaves from de Pary’s Avenue and is a riotous colourful start to the festival. The event is free to enter and is open to everyone as walking groups, small vehicles, bands and musical groups and articulated decorated vehicles. There are opportunities to collect for your own or local charity as well as prizes for the best floats. This is a fantastic way just to promote your business name as well as collecting for a nominated charity. Entry forms are now available.
The traditional raft races are a prominent feature of the festival and are always great fun. Create your own team, build a boat and race against other crews down the great river ouse.
Community Stage. You may have a band, be a singer or a magician as part of a business who could perform on our community stage. The community stage in 2006 was incredibly successful and slots filled up very quickly.
Entry forms are now available so book your entry spot to avoid disappointment. There are three levels of sponsorship for the festivals; Partners, Sponsors and Friends.
