Anti Poverty Strategy

The Social Inclusion/Anti-Poverty Strategy 2006 is the outcome of a highly engaged, participatory and evidence-based process. Steered by the Including Everyone Theme Group of the Bedford Partnership Board – the Local Strategic Partnership for Bedford Borough – the strategy provides an agreed framework which provides definitions, drivers and statistical/anecdotal evidence that demonstrates how social exclusion – as an ongoing cycle of poverty and disadvantage – can affect a person’s ability to participate in decisions that affect his or her life. The strategy will, thus, act as a point of reference and add value to intervention strategies taken by the Bedford Partnerhsip Board.
