The timetable for the production of the Allocations & Designations Plan is set out in the Local Development Scheme.
In order to ensure that the Allocations & Designations Plan contributes to the aims of sustainable development, the Council is required to undertake a Sustainability Appraisal of its policies and proposals. The purpose of the Sustainability Appraisal is to promote sustainable development through the integration of environmental, social and economic considerations into the preparation of a DPD.
