Bedford Borough Council is responsible for the collection of household waste across the whole of the Borough. The Council works in partnership with Bedfordshire County Council to provide collection and disposal services for recyclable and green waste, as well as collecting normal household waste.
The Bedfordshire Energy and Recycling Project (BEaR) has been set up to find alternatives to landfilling Bedfordshire and Luton's waste. This important project is a joint-working partnership and covers all authorities in Bedfordshire including Luton.

YOUR KERBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICE IS IMPROVING-
DONT FORGET TO ORDER YOUR BIN!Over the last six months we have been asking all of the Borough's residents to choose whether they would like to use a bin or orange bags for recycling. So far we have recieved nearly 43,000 replies, however this means 30% of households have not yet responded.
UPDATE: THE BINS ARE COMING!
Orange bins are now being delivered to those residents who placed their request prior to the 8th October. We will be organising a second phase of orange lidded bin delivery later in the year so it's not too late to order a bin. Use the online order form below or call us on 0800 121 8888 to order your bin or bags.

ENVIRONMENTAL CHRISTMAS FAIR 2008 - 4TH DECEMBER, CIVIC THEATRE
If you would like to find out more about the orange lidded bins or recycling in general please come and see us on the 4th December. There will be lots of displays on reducing and reusing your waste as well as local arts and crafts.
