Pride in Bedford
Our role is to develop, sustain and enhance the Pride in Bedford initiative within the Borough of Bedford. It is our responsibility to act as a catalyst for the various initiatives, schemes and organisations with regard to the environment and community partnerships in order to promote local citizenship.
It is our aim to:
- Improve communications
- Promote community involvement
- Create links with the community, business and local self-help groups
- Advise on improving the environment
- Raise standards and promote best practice
- Provide a quality service
- Continually monitor and evaluate the service to improve efficiency
Some of the many things we are directly involved with include:
Rivercare Community Clean Ups and The Big Tidy UpPride in Bedford Community Awards Community planting projects Volunteer Task Force Chewing Gum Initiative and Poster CompetitionSchools Environment Roadshow Eco Schools Recycling initiativesEstablishing and working with Resident Associations Operation Clean Sweep We are here to work with you, the community, to support, assist and advise on how we can work in partnership to improve the area, protect the environment and care for the streets.
